Students will learn and use correct terminology for basic computer components.

First grade district standards requires students to communicate about technology using developmentally appropriate and accurate terminology. This power point will review, refresh, and assess students on age-appropriate computer terms.

Student Technology Standards- Proper use of computer terminology.

Ask students, who has a computer? Why is it important to know the correct terminology? Show the class a computer and demo a game or site that requires you to use the terminology of basic computer components.

Show, discuss, and preview power point on Parts of a Computer. Check for understanding frequently. (See Attachment for Power Point.).
